HiberniaEvros deliver virtual infrastructure to support Netwatch's growing business

Netwatch Systems are a former Ernst & Young Entreprenuer of the Year Finalist who provide high tech remote security monitoring system to their customer base in UK and Ireland.

As part of an office move to meet the demands of their growing business, Netwatch needed to address their existing unsuitable IT infrastructure - a mixture of servers and PCs acting as servers supporting12 security applications.

Client Requirements

HiberniaEvros was selected during a competitive tender process to deliver a virtualisation solution using a pool of shared storage. We engaged with the customer on a uniquely technical and commercial level.

Netwatch required a partner who had experience in deliverying  a project on time and within budget  - particularly a partner who had strong existing relationships with leading Vendors such as Microsoft,  HP & VMware.

Project Approach

We used our relationship with all suppliers involved to insure the project was delivered on budget.  HiberniaEvros were also able to offer the customer peace of mind by having the resources to manage the project from both its Waterford and Dublin service centres.

Our professional services team firstly carried out a capacity planning exercise using  the VMWare capacity planning tool.  We designed a solution based on Microsoft and HP technology and using our relationship with these partners, we ensured our customer was getting best of breed technology combined with excellent  value for money. 

The installation was carried out within 6 weeks of placing the order and the project was completed within just 3 weeks. 

This change in the IT Infrastructure occurred in parallel with Netwatch moving premises, so additional levels of co-ordination was required between all parties involved.  The relationship between HiberniaEvros and our partners, along with the flexibility of our  consulting team were major factors in the success of this project.
