HiberniaEvros provides 24x7 Support on Critical Infrastructure

 Waterford-based IVAX Pharmaceuticals is part of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, one the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world. The company develops, manufactures and markets generic and innovative pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Client Requirement

IVAX needed to engage with a support provider that focused on the proactive monitoring of its enterprise infrastructure – with emphasis on their servers and storage. In addition to outsourcing some of the routine server administration tasks they needed access to an extensive engineer knowledge base to assist them implement future planned IT projects – rather than having to manage multiple support vendors themselves.

The primary aim of any service agreement that was to be put into place was to reduce the risk of server or storage downtime as part of a need to stabilise the IT environment to facilitate a full Disaster Recovery project.

Solution Implemented

After meeting wth IVAX to fully understand the environment and operational needs of IVAX, the HiberniaEvros Managed Services division designed a support service for IVAX that explicitly met all of their operational needs;

• Full reactive support on all Ivax server and SAN hardware and associated operating systems
• A guaranteed 4 hour on site presence by a suitably qualified engineer
• All maintenance updates (firmware, software, patches etc..) carried out for them by experienced and suitably trained support staff.
• Support available 24x7 365 days a year
• Proactive monitoring of the Server infrastructure with any corrective action required carried out by HiberniaEvros with the aim to minimise any server downtime
• Regular performance assessment on the Server infrastructure including reporting on unusual trends or activities
• An assigned Technical Account Manager with responsibility for the efficient running of the IVAX service agreement
• Access to a skilled and trained engineering knowledge base with real time experience in similar IT environments.

HiberniaEvros also designed and implemented a DR solution comprising a second data centre established in a secondary location onsite. A HP EVA SAN was installed in this location to facilitate the real time replication of all IVAX critical data using VMware ESX server.
