HiberniaEvros extend managed service offering to include area of print and document management
October 2009:
IT specialists Hibernia Evros Technology Group have announced a significant strategic partnership with Xerox Ireland Ltd., which brings the power of Xerox’s enterprise managed print services to the Irish small and medium sized businesses for the first time.
Commenting on the significance of this announcement Caroline Godsil, joint managing director, HiberniaEvros said, “HiberniaEvros is already well established in the managed services area in Ireland. However, with Xerox Print Services, we are now equipped with a specialist suite of tools which allows us to extend our offering into managed print services. These software and management tools will allow us to significantly cut the cost of an organisation’s print output.”
Mark McPhillips, General Manager of Xerox Ireland added, “HiberniaEvros is the first Irish company accredited to offer Xerox Print Services in Ireland. The suite of tools allows authorised business partners like HiberniaEvros to assess print environments, get the best performance from printing networks and assist organisation’s in managing their printing infrastructure cost effectively. From both research and experience with large enterprises, Xerox has found that enterprises typically don’t know what they spend on office print operations and that up to 50% of the cost of document output sits outside the physical hardware.”
Xerox Print Services is a set of services and tools to help organisations assess their current printing environment, fine-tune their printing networks for optimum performance, and then manage their printing infrastructure – regardless of the manufacturer or device type. For end customers this results in lower print and copy costs, reduced IT support and increased office productivity across multiple print platforms.
Caroline Godsil of HiberniaEvros added, “The real cost of all your print needs must be based on the ongoing usage, not the initial cost of any particular device. Unfortunately for their bottom line, most Irish organisations do not yet appreciate this.”
HiberniaEvros will now have access to an internationally proven suite of Xerox software and management tools which will help Irish organisations consume less energy, reduce waste, lower ink toner and page costs while releasing IT to more business critical tasks
According to research firm IDC, businesses with more than 100 employees buy four million devices, print 600 billion pages and spend $20 billion per year on office equipment and services worldwide. The firm also predicts that over 60% of SMEs in Europe will consider purchasing a managed print service solution in 2009. Despite the economic downturn, the firm projects the managed print services market to be a $7.2 billion European opportunity by 2011.
